$2 million Soho Gallery Renovation Complete



Martin Lawrence Galleries, the nation’s premier fine art gallery network, proudly announce the Grand Re-Opening of their newly renovated space at 457 West Broadway, in the heart of Soho. The now 4,000 square foot space was designed by award-winning New York architects, Asfour & Guzy and contains furnishings by the internationally renowned luxury design group, Poltrona Frau.

Martin Lawrence Galleries has long been a major presence in the New York art scene with its unparalleled offerings of masterworks by Picasso, Chagall, Rembrandt, Warhol, Dali, Francis, Miro, Basquiat, Erté, Deyber, Bertho, Mas, Kondakova and many others. The dramatic new space will accommodate the ever-growing collection of these works and will allow for enhanced viewing and collecting by clients. “We are thrilled that our flagship New York gallery will now brilliantly showcase our unbeatable range of fine artwork” states Managing Director, John Salvo. “My staff and I are eager to welcome old friends and allow our art to help us make new ones”.

To celebrate this glorious occasion, the gallery will be hosting a Grand Re-Opening Party on Tuesday, July 19th from 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm. The staff invites you to come and experience the world’s finest art in Soho’s finest setting.

The re-opening will also kick off a series of exciting events for the fall and winter of 2011 that include a fall art auction featuring over 1,200 works of art, a one-man exhibition of artwork by renowned French artist and Pop Illuisionist, Philippe Bertho, and an Erté gala that will unveil rare serigraphs, bronzes and original gouaches as well as a newly published book titled “Erté”containing excerpts by collectors Barbra Streisand and Twiggy.

Martin Lawrence Galleries currently has ten galleries located in nine cities across the United States: New York, Boston, Chicago, New Orleans, Dallas, La Jolla, Newport Beach, San Francisco (two locations) and Maui. In August 2011, they will open their 11th gallery, a ground-breaking 27,000 square foot space in The Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas.

Martin Lawrence Galleries has loaned over 250 artworks to 32 different museums around the world including the Museu Picasso, Barcelona, the Tate Museum, Liverpool, The Whitney Museum of American Art, New York and the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C.
